In my profession as a Yoga Tutor, movement with ease is vital, so when I felt the onset of a painful arthritic hip I was concerned about the future. However, over the past 2 months I have been receiving Crystal Therapy Treatment from Alex and after the very first treatment I felt a little easier for a couple of days. Following the 2nd and 3rd treatments the improvement was amazing. I can now move more easily, suffer very little pain, and am fully confident that if I continue with the treatment, Alex will have relieved what promised to be a very problematic area for me.

I have been treated by Alex for Sports and Advanced Remedial Massage on a regular monthly basis for about four years, when I asked him about a small lump on the back of my right hand and pain I was having in my wrist. The doctor told me that it was wear and tear. I feared Arthritis as it is in my family. Alex examined my hand and suggested, as in his opinion, his massage treatment would not be able to help but crystal therapy might. I had three treatments 20 Dec 07, 14 Jan 08 and 31 Jan 08 and my pain had gone. I could now take a strong hand shake, which before these treatments I could not. Alex gave me a further two treatments, the last was on the 30 June 2008 and since then the pain has not returned.

I was officially diagnosed as having Osteoarthritis by the Woodend Hospital, Aberdeen on the 7th January 2009, after being told by the Hospital in Peterhead a month earlier that my problems were due to “wear and tear”. My mother had suffered from arthritis and the diagnosis only confirmed what I had feared. I was having severe pain in my right hip and lower back, forcing me to rely on a walking stick which I detested. I was starting to worry about my job where I am regularly on my feet. My hands were also painful and my knuckles started to swell over the last three months of 2008. My wife suggested that I talk to Alex, as he and his wife had helped her greatly over the last couple of years. I was not totally convinced, but I went, and I am glad that I did. I felt relief after the first treatment on the 19 December 2008. By the second, on the 9th January, the pain in my right leg had reduced considerably. Shortly after this treatment I had to visit an annual Trade Show near Edinburgh, a trip I normally dreaded, as I am on my feet all day and the train trip down and up was generally a nightmare to me. I managed the whole day with no adverse affects. In short, my quality of life has greatly improved with my working day going much smoother. Although I still have painful episodes, they are nowhere near as painful as before. They are also short compared to the good periods and the walking stick is now a memory. I had my fifth treatment today (12th June 2009) and I am hopeful that I will continue to improve.

Amazing - I am actually waking up & feeling awake for the first time in a long time – this is the newest thing that I’ve notices about my health this past 2 weeks…not being late for work!!! And loving getting up on a Saturday morning to do my volunteer ski instruction – I actually HEAR the alarm (almost unknown for me) and bounce (well, maybe not quite!) out of bed ready to go and ski…I don’t understand what you’re doing for me, but it’s working!)
